In response to Bill Haas: There was no "investigative reporting". Many members of the community wanted to
know the facts behind the fund  raising for Dr. Shield's and I met with Lary Davis and found out the facts.

You are in error when you say that I met with Mr. Davis the day before he left. I met with him on Sept. 15th and his
last day was Sept 30th, two weeks later. You are also wrong that the CEO and CFO "left suddenly". It was, in
fact, reported several months ago, that Lary Davis was leaving Sonora Regional, after 15 years. This is long tenure
for the administrator of a health care facility, and he is continuing in the Adventist System. To correct another of
your erroneous statements, David Larson continues on as the CFO and has not left the hospital.

The hospital does intend to continue to expand their computer services, and how you came
up with a four year time-frame is interesting. It  will have the medical records system
upgraded in the near future, but since it is a network system, it will take time to complete this upgrade.

The monies collected for Dr. Shield's system is not tax deductible because it went to an individual not a non-profit
recipient, as you indicate. I doubt if the IRS would consider a donation to a doctor as such. Ask your wife,
since she is a CPA and should have that information.

Your doubt that many physicians would come to Groveland is a vague suposition. In the 25 years that I have lived here, we have
always had medical coverage, so I don't think that is an issue. As a newcomer, you wouldn't know that.

So, Mr. Haas, your innuendo that Dr. Shield "wasn't my favorite person", is just that. You
are suggesting that the information I obtained was personal, which it was not. Many people had questions and concerns
about this situation and I attempted to find out the facts, which I did. You on the other hand, have tried to make it
personal.

In closing, I did get my facts right, because I went to the person that had them. Where you got "your facts",
I don't know, since you didn't state your source, and  unless you can back them up, we have to consider them
unreliable.
