| Need Help: My family has a 1924 Star Delivery truck that has been in the Groveland area since 1924. It is fully restored, but five yrs ago it broke a tooth in the rear end. | Golf Course response to Marche Kizziar. Yes, I too noticed the lack of golfers. Can't begin to say how guilty I felt for buying my weekday walker's annual for $895. That would have paid for four rounds of golf at the Aviara in Carlsbad which is where I lived before PML. I thank the decision makers for the gift, but when our dues get raised to compensate for the loss of revenue, we members will not be happy. | |

| As many of you know last night Groveland went into "lockdown" because a pipebomb was discovered at the fire house. Many of us were at the Charlotte for Monday nite Trivia and because no one was allowed in or out of town during the crisis, Lynn and Victor welcomed all of us with open arms to stay as long as it took to resolve this dangerous situation. (it was around midnight). A great big thank you Lynn and Victor!!! We are very lucky to have you two as part of our community. | |

| This is a long story that is pertinent to Ballot Measure S requesting ambulance tax renewal on November 6th. Its the history of the ambulance prior to our first approved tax measure in 1998. My first hand information begins in 1978 when my husband and I bought our property in Unit 12 and became aware of the existence of the local ambulance, first operated by Boise Cascade and later by a local group known as Southside Emergence Medical Services (SEMSA). SEMSA members paid $35.00 a year and that amount, paid by most property owners, plus the fees charged for services was enought to cover costs. When Rod and I moved to PML full time in l982 I was asked to become a member of the Board of Semsa. The ambulance at that time was run by two full time (5 day week, 8 hour days) employees, a former RN and one EMT, both paid minimum wage.
